Hi, I’m Kayla — the designer behind Studio Ann.

I've always been fascinated by homes and architecture. When I travel, I'm the person paying more attention to the buildings than the attractions. I love seeing how people live in different parts of the world and studying the details that make a home feel unique to its place and history. Some of my favorite spaces are the ones that have been around for decades or even centuries and still feel relevant today.

My favorite part of the design process is working through the layout and figuring out how a home can function better for the people living in it. I love solving those puzzles and finding opportunities to add character, whether that's through architectural details, built-ins, materials, or unique design decisions that make a home feel one of a kind.

I started Studio Ann because I wanted to create homes with more personality. So many new builds feel like variations of the same white box, and I think a home should feel much more personal than that. It should reflect the people who live there and feel like a place they genuinely enjoy coming home to.

As a boutique studio, I'm involved in every project from start to finish. I work closely with my clients, collaborate with builders and trades, and stay hands-on throughout the process. My goal is to create homes that feel beautiful, functional, and full of character — the kind of spaces that feel like a luxury vacation you get to live in every day.
